| Description: | Under general direction, provides senior level technical and administrative support to the organizations network infrastructure. Responsible for the server environments, network applications including email and file services and the technical maintenance of the hardware. Network backups and security are to be maintained for all network components. Assists management in technology planning as well as development of policies and procedures. Conducts research and evaluation of network technologies and provide recommendations. |
| Duties: | - Analyzes and resolves technical problems for established networks.
- Completes data backups and maintains backup records according to established procedures.
- Establishes user accounts and administers rights.
- Implements and maintains network security hardware and software , including firewalls.
- Plans, tests, recommends, implements and coordinates tasks for the installation of server networks.
- Evaluates services and recommends cost savings.
- Provides network documentation, training and guidance to other IT staff including PC Technicians and Help desk Specialists.
- Serves as technical specialist in network problems and emergencies
- Installs, configures and maintains network components.
- Maintains knowledge of current hardware and software technologies and applications.
- Assists in setting and documenting computer network standards.
- Works with other IT staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Documents and tracks network issues and change management requests , this may be completed within a database.
- Coordinates support and purchasing activities with outside vendors as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Travel and off hour work maybe necessary.
- Provides in-call support during evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

| Qualifications: | - Bachelor's degree in computer science or technical certifications in network administration, computer science or information technology or related fields.
- Technical proficiency in a Novel, EMC and Window network solutions.
- Technical proficiency in networks protocols.
- Understanding of networking and telecommunications.
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills.
